Engaging, entertaining and informative introductions to, and extracts from, a wide selection of the late Joll's works are available to listen to for free on his YouTube channel.

Listen to the late Joll’s engaging talk about Victor McLaglen

For example, this one about Victor McLaglen, the only Life Guard to have won an Oscar and to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The channel also includes chapter-by-chapter podcasts of The Speedicut Papers and historical anecdotes, drawn from his books The Drum Horse in the Fountain and Spoils of War.

A selection of Joll’s podcasts are also available to enjoy for free on Libsyn.

In addition, Joll recorded talks for the Household Cavalry Museum, as part of the Household Cavalry Regimental Historian Lecture Series.

Last evening’s Zoom session with Christopher Joll was more than good, it was excellent — informative, entertaining and thought-provoking. He is a superb presenter.

As well as very well-structured and timed. I don’t know how many of us there attended as I had my camera off most of the time, but there were no technical problems and the quality of the illustrations was superb.

It was a most enjoyable hour, the more so for being able to sit in a warm room and not have the prospect of a dark and damp walk home! I have ordered the book of course.

A webinar organised by the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust in March 2021 garnered the following praise from attendees:

Interesting topic and delivered excellently.
The subject matter was very interesting and clearly presented by an excellent speaker.
It didn’t go on long enough ... always a sign, to me, of a good session, if it leads to more questions.
Well presented, informative content about a very topical subject of which I knew very little.
Wide ranging but detailed knowledge and understanding of his topic.

Additionally, you can listen to a fascinating interview between the late Joll and renowned historian Dan Snow about Joll's recent book, Spoils of War. Entitled ‘Loot? Spoils? Artefacts? What to do with our Museums,’ the interview is available as a podcast on the History Hit website.
